Award-winning editor, author and journalist, Bill has spent 30 years specializing in global business issues that affect chief executive officers and boards of directors. He has covered the automotive industry intensively since 1996. Bill graduated from Michigan State University and started his career in Lansing in 1973 with United Press International.

CURRENT ACTIVITIES:
Conduct Saturday interviews for The New York Times as well as write book reviews and “Economic View” columns. Also write for Barron’s, Corporate Board Member, Dealmaker, Fortune and Strategy & Business. “Armchair MBA” column appears biweekly on BusinessWeek.com, and “From the Corner Office” postings appear on BNET, the new business network of CNET.
BOOKS:
Under contract to write forth book—about the General Motors turnaround for Bloomsbury/Walker. Delivery date is October 2008.
PREVIOUS POSITIONS:
Editor in Chief, Chief Executive magazine (January 2003–April 2006) Created the “Top 10 Cars for CEOs” annual rankings. Auto industry interviews included Rick Wagoner of GM and Dieter Zetsche of Chrysler.
